Hey!// Hope you all had a spooky Halloween last night! And now that October has come and gone (too fast might I add), it's a new month with new promises. This month I've decided to dedicate November to challenging myself.
Everyone has bad habits...don't you lie to yourself, you know you do...especially me. One of which is not being a morning person AT ALL. Some of you might be thinking, not being a morning person isn't a bad habit, oh but it is...you see, I can never get up in the morning like a normal person, no, I ROLL out of bed in the morning, rushing out the door. Not only am I late half the time, but because I don't give myself enough leisure time to get ready, I look like a hot mess doing it. Well that stops starting today! My first challenge this month is to become a morning person. Get up with enough time to do all the things I dream about doing in the a.m., like have a cup of coffee with the boyfriend before he heads out to work, go to the gym, eat breakfast, you know the normal, responsible morning routine I should have at my almost 25 year-old self. Which leads to my second challenge this month.
I found my next challenge off of laurenconrad.com, called the Slim Down Challenge. Now it's nothing crazy, just a few moves to add to my non-existent (until this month) exercise routine. What it is is three moves, three weeks. 100 crunches per day, take the stairs whenever you can and 25 push-ups per day. In my goal to become a morning person, I feel it is important and beneficial to have a workout routine to make a habit, creating a purpose (besides going to work) to get up in the morning and to have more energy. This goes hand in hand with my third and final challenge.
I'm obsessed with Pinterest, constantly pinning away and if you follow me you know this. I'm always pinning workout/exercise moves that I tell myself I will look back at later and totally do...well I haven't yet. So this month I am going to do one of my workout pins! I found this 30 Day Ab Challenge, that some how I convinced Z he needed to do with me. Which is great, because now I have someone who will remind me and get me to do it and I will do the same for him. It's a challenge that works on building your strength. It starts off "easy" and then builds upon the first day making it harder each day. Here's a little taste of it, the first day we have to do 15 sit-ups, 5 crunches, 5 leg raises (which are the worst) and a 10 second plank. On day 30, the last day, we have to do 125 sit-ups, 200 crunches, 65 leg raises (eek!) and a 120 second plank (double eek!). This should be an interesting challenge, hopefully I'll get rock hard abs out of it!
So that is the break down of my three month challenge! Already on day one, I have started off on a good note! I woke up this morning at about 6:30 a.m. and went to the gym. Now I did forget to do my two workout challenges while I was there, but the day isn't over yet and I will complete those tonight!
Challenging yourself is a good thing, it keeps you on your toes and helps on bettering yourself throughout your lifetime, which is something you should never stop doing. Now I challenge YOU to figure out something you want to work on and make it a challenge for you to do this month!
Good luck!!
love S
